Allansford Cottages 2019

House Notes – Allansford Cottages

Restored and renovated cottages originally built in the 1870s and lovingly brought back to life, these cottages are situated in the Botanical Studio complex of Beautiful Silks. Surrounded by a walled botanical dye garden, the cottages showcases local materials, trades and traditional building techniques. Timber from the site was milled on site, windows were recycled and insulation added to create comfy cottages.

Sandstone internal chimney for the wood fires, a split system heating and air conditioning, heated bathroom floor and beautiful stained glass windows are beautiful features of these cottages.
