Admission is $8 for adults, $6 concession and children under 18 free: this admission is standard Open Garden policy. Door prizes of plants and books. People often ask why we open at the height of summer and our answer is that this is the time of the year when a fruiting garden is in its glory. Because of close plantings the garden is at least 10 degrees cooler and there are several marquees provided. We now have misters for those who really don’t like heat so there really is no excuse not to come!
Joe's Connected Garden for Open Gardens SA
6 Argent St, Elizabeth Grove, South Australia
10am to 4:30pm – Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th February 2018
This is our sixth Open Garden so come and spend a day in our gardens and see over 500 different varieties of fruit, herbs and vegetables growing although of course they are not all fruiting at this time. We have put gates in the fences so neighbours in the five gardens can collaborate on planting, tending to the plants and sharing the bountiful harvest. It seems that this aspect of the gardens is what interests people most but there is plenty to see and do on the day. For the first time, we will be having a seed and produce swap, more on this lat…er.
