House Notes – Fiore by Psaros

Be among the first to see a showcase of one of Perth’s most sustainable apartments!

A range of initiatives will be showcased including a demonstration of how to establish an edible balcony by the Forever Project, an electric vehicle with recharge station, energy monitoring, Psaros connect and how to travel more sustainably, plus more!

Open 2-4pm, the edible balcony demonstration will commence at 3pm.

Sustainability concepts have been incorporated into Psaros apartments to have positive and long-lasting environmental, social and financial outcomes for occupants. They are designed to reduce the environmental footprint of its occupants and the building, and help residents lower their overall energy costs.

  • Solar energy – Our Solar PhotoVolatic (PV) system provides electricity to apartments and common areas;
  • Motion sensors and CO sensors – motion sensors in common area lighting and in car park ventilation through the use of CO sensors;
  • Energy monitoring – Each apartment has the ability to preview real time energy use via a web based monitoring system. This helps occupants take action to conserve power and save on everyday bills;
  • Energy Efficient Lighting – Every Psaros apartment is fitted with energy efficient lighting including LED’s and CFL’s. These help reduce the overall ecological footprint and energy needs of occupants;
  • Energy Efficient Appliances – High energy efficient appliances have been chosen for all Psaros apartments to help reduce energy costs;
  • Energy efficient hot water – unlike other apartments, Psaros includes centralised solar hot water. This means cost-effective hot water, plus more space because of the absence of an electric storage hot water system;
  • Water Efficient Fixtures – You’ll find water efficient fixtures and fittings are standard throughout all apartments and all common areas;
  • Sustainable Transport Links – cycle into the city, walk to shops or catch a train, it’s your choice. Save time, money and reduce your overall carbon footprint, compared to a car. We also support the future uptake of electric vehicles with recharge stations built into most of our developments;
  • Edible Gardens – we are proud to support the production of food on balconies and roof top terraces – where possible we factor this into landscape design and offer educative programs for occupants through strata management;
  • Resident Waste Avoidance Plan – each development has a waste avoidance educational plan and relevant infrastructure to enable occupants to recycle other household items like e-waste, clothes and batteries;
  • Community – All our developments are strategically located for easy access to amenities, services, cultural and lifestyle opportunities. We believe in creating a sense of community and help connect people with heritage and other community assets in each precinct.
