Wagaman Energy Efficiency House

An original elevated home renovated in 2016 to incorporate more sustainable features and create a more open and tropical design. A 4.6kW solar panel system has been installed, fluorescents lights have been replaced with LED lights and an energy and water monitoring system has been installed to track energy and water consumption.

Chris and his family moved from Germany to Darwin 6 years ago and have been on a steep learning curve to adjust to the warm Darwin climate but are pleased with the results of the renovations to reduce their footprint. They are interested in improve their garden and become more sustainable in different areas and recycle bottles through the council.
