Danthonia Certified Passive House
Our house is a certified passive house, designed and built to use minimal energy and provide a comfortable year round environment. Even though the house has a modest 7kW solar system, in 2024 nearly 6MWh of net energy was exported to the grid. The house maintains a comfortable temperature, requiring additional heating or cooling only on rare occasions. The house is set in 1000m2 of low maintenance and low water use garden.

We have just learned that Danthonia has been short listed for the Australian Institute of Architecture, Victorian Chapter Awards, in the Sustainable Architecture category. Congratulations to our architect, Eve Strano, for the recognition of her wonderful work.
