Upstairs additional sleeping and living area is available in summer holiday period provides additional winter insulation to the 3 bedrooms and living areas downstairs.
Timber framing is packed with fibreglass batts, and then wrapped inside and out with natural wool insulation made possible with king masonry ties creating extra cavity space behind both inside and outside stone veneer layers.
Slab on grade is provided with Frank Lloyd Wright inspired extruded polystyrene perimeter insulation down and outwards under a ring beam that supports outer stonework. This was engineered solution signed off by “Green Being”.
