This home was designed by the owners and built to Passive House Plus Standards by ISMART. Having lived in North America for many years, Carlos and Gloria were familiar with high energy efficiency construction standards such as airtightness, high levels of insulation and double glazed windows.

Carlos and Gloria were able to build an owner designed high performing (Passive House Plus) home for a comparable status quo double brick price. A moderate budget, short timeline, pre-manufactured timber frame structure for a final all-in cost of $2080 per square meter.
