House Notes – Hougoumont Hotel
The Hougoumont is a unique build in that it’s both a preservation project (on the heritage part of the building) and a seamless extension using repurposed shipping containers stacked on top of each other to create our guest bedrooms. By using sea containers as the principal material for the build thousands of kilos of traditional building materials have been avoided in its construction(a benefit to the environment).
