House Notes – Trentleck House

This family home is all electric with solar, wind and hydro power. We have a battery storage system so we can be off grid. Water is heated using solar power and wood fired hydronic heating for the home. Biogas generator and cooking. Energy efficient appliances and lighting has been used throughout the home to reduce running costs.

Fully insulated and draught proofed to keep the house warm in winter and cool in summer.

Water is collected and stored in large rainwater tanks and we have a blackwater system to recycle waste water.

We work on a paddock to plate philosophy with fruit, veggies, chooks, cattle and bees and also have alpacas for wool.
