This period family home has been retrofitted for efficiency and has recorded a reduction in gross energy and water consumption of 75%. With PV-generated energy the home is energy positive. The home uses high efficiency induction cooking. Mains gas has been completely removed.

The home is the residential case study for BZE Buildings Plan and has been featured in ReNew magazine a number of times (issues 115, 117, 127). It’s also a case study for the Energy Freedom Campaign and book (available on the day).

The household also has two plugin cars.
