Iredale Street House 2015

House Notes – Iredale Street House

Adaptive reuse of an early 1890’s  weather board cottage. The house demonstrate ways in which we can preserve some of the character of inner city cottages. The old house has been restored and kept to the street while out the back a new modern recycled timber glass addition allows the house to capture summer breezes through the use of passive design features such as louvres windows and clerestorey windows .Examples of reuse of timber products can be seen throughout the project such as reuse of old floorboards, packing cases and galvanised pipes.
