Bringing a 1960 double brick home up to Passivhaus EnerPHit standards.
Our clients came to us wanting to renovate and extend their 1960’s double brick home, their hopes were to increase the energy efficiency, remove gas and provide a comfort and healthy home for their growing family.
Our plan of attack was to improve the thermal envelope and make it continuous, fit UPVC double glazed windows, install a HRV system and increase the airtightness of the home.
After some modelling and a blower door test we reached Passivhaus EnerPhit standards and achieved a blower door of 0.82ACH50. This home also achieved a 9.6 start rating in NatHERS.
The results are a healthy, efficient and all year-round comfortable home for our clients.
