Murrumbateman Strawbale House 2015

Murrumbateman Strawbale House

Come along and visit our 8-Star home built in 2010. It is largely strawbale, with some cobbed and poured earth walls inside, adding to its considerable thermal efficiency, as well as its charm. We have a 2kwh solar PV grid-connected system that provides power and a solar hot water system.  We also have a worm farm septic system to handle the property’s grey and black water. The garden is largely native. Two alpacas help provide fertiliser for the garden! The builder of this home is regularly featured in Grand Design Australia magazine., as well as other home and alternative building publications.
