The Rare Gem Unit 2017

The Rare Gem Unit

This modern two bedroom passive solar home was built for comfort and universal access.

Fixed sun control louvres  are fitted along the North facing windows which keep out the Summer sun and allow the Winter sun to penetrate deep into the home, thus keeping a comfortable temperature. Twice a year during season changes attention has to be given to sun control.

Ceiling fans are in all rooms for active cooling/heating.

Universal Access

  • During the build sliding doors were recessed into the floor slab to allow a completely level access to accommodate any mobility equipment.
  • The bathroom has a large hobless shower also to accommodate mobility equipment.
  • Separate toilet accessible for wheelchairs.

The solar panel system is on the original net feed in tariff  and generates electricity to the grid. The last electricity account that had to be paid for the home  was in 2011.

The home has an instantaneous gas HWS and a bayonet as well as  a gas cook top and oven for the gourmet chef.

Reverse cycle air con was installed as a “just in case” measure but has rarely been used.

The garden has  a drip system irrigation installed

Being right in the heart of the City enables the occupant to walk/ ride a gopher to all the City’s restaurants, cafes, shops, shuttle bus and entertainment.

Optional gold coin donation will go to WestAus Crisis & Support

Please note that Unlimited potential, this one has it all is also open for SHD on this block.

This home is on the market and is open most Saturdays and Sundays if you would like to visit this home before SHD please email 2132maggiec@gmail.com to book an appointment.
