Solar Living – Solar Driving

We live on our energy and water “income” – the sun and the rain. Our 9.6kW of solar PV panels are grid connected with battery backup. Although we receive only about 6c per KW feed-in tariff, and use the system to run all the functions of an electric-only house plus electric-only car, we still receive a credit rather than a bill from our electricity supplier.

We are principally self-consumers close to being able to live off-grid.

On Sustainable House Day, our electric systems will be on display from 10am to 2pm, along with other information on how we live on our “income from the sky.”
