This garden has been designed to cope with low water retention and other harsh coastal conditions including salt laden winds. Almost entirely native (aside from a few sneaky sentimental favourites) the garden flowers year round creating eye catching and bird attracting features throughout, interspersed with upcycled and repurposed metal artworks.
The garden has been a labour of love over the past 20 years that has gone on to inspire others in the neighbourhood with tell-tale ‘Jan’ gardens dotted all around the surrounding streets. Using a variety of Banksia and Grevillea species has kept this garden low maintenance, unique and fascinating. Metal sculptures of all shapes and sizes create intrigue at every turn.
