Tasmania’s most liveable house 2025

Tasmania’s most liveable house

Warm as toast in winter, cool as a cucumber in summer, this house is a joy to live in. All you have to do is relax and look at probably the best view in the whole of the Huon Valley.

Originally planning a sustainable mud-brick home in Tasmania, a shift to hemp became clear due to its superior properties. Designed for passive solar efficiency, airflow, and a playful, welcoming feel. With only two panel heaters, the home stays warm in winter and cools instantly with cross-ventilation in summer. Set against one of the best views in the Huon Valley, it offers comfort, sustainability, and serenity.
