This 2023 home is designed for a semi-retired couple, built adjacent to the original house for the family grandparents. It was specified to be energy and electrically efficient with extensive insulation (underfloor, walls and ceiling spaces) together with UPVC double glazing, induction cooktop and heat-pump hotwater service. It has been assessed for energy efficiency as at least 7.8 stars.

Local regulations restrict the internal habitable space at 60 square metres but an innovative T-shaped footprint design produced two outside covered spaces and an external store cupboard.
