At the heart of our vision was the desire to create a modern, high-performing home with sustainable construction that serves as an inner-city oasis. Our custom-built North Perth residence is an infill build extending to three boundaries, designed with a biophilic architectural approach that seamlessly blends indoor and outdoor living. Elevated garden beds enrich the surroundings and uplift the overall aesthetic of the property.
Embracing Passive House principles, our home features superior insulation in the walls, roof, and notably in the slab, ensuring exceptional thermal performance. The airtight construction minimises energy loss, while careful planning reduces thermal bridges to a minimum. Our timber-framed structure, finished with sustainable lime render, reflects our commitment to eco-friendly practices.
Energy efficiency forms the cornerstone of our design. To achieve outstanding performance, our home utilises a series of solar panels, an efficient heat pump hot water system, and a 7KW split system air conditioner. Powering our 330m² home, these systems enable energy consumption levels that are 48% less than the Western Australian average, resulting in significantly reduced running costs and a markedly lower carbon footprint.
Inside, our thoughtfully designed two-storey split-level home offers four bedrooms, two living areas, a modern kitchen, two bathrooms, a powder room, and a laundry. Each room is arranged for ease and comfort, featuring honed burnished concrete, timber floors, marble tiles, custom cabinetry, and soft-close cavity sliders, all accentuated by carefully planned architectural lighting.
Outside, the landscaped area features 100% Australian native waterwise planting, reinforcing our sustainability ethos, while an HRV system is discreetly integrated into the roof cavity to maximise floor space.
