Zac’s Townhouse is one of a group of 5 built by a developer 18 months ago with the bare minimum of energy efficiency features to obtain the required 6* rating. It has a great northerly and easterly aspect, LED lighting, a rainwater tank supplying the toilets, and good air flow. Additions in the past 12 months include 3kW solar pv, heatpump hot water and low E double glazing have been installed. The aim is to minimise bills (and greenhouse emissions) while improving comfort – temperatures and noise levels. The garden is a work in progress, with fruit trees and veggie patch recently planted. Please note that this is a two storey residence with stairs up to the living area (not suitable for toddlers).
