This year we focused on retrofits and renovations to help Australians transform their homes into more energy-efficient, cost effective and comfortable spaces. We kicked off Sustainable House Day 2025 with a special online Welcome Event on Friday 2 May. It was the perfect way to start the weekend, featuring an inspiring talk by guest speaker Jo Taranto from Good for the Hood. Jo spoke about the ripple effect of sharing real-world solutions and highlighted the power that open home hosts and visitors have to inspire change through lived experience.
Attendees were encouraged to grab a drink, enjoy some nibbles, and settle in as we celebrated community, connection, and climate-positive living.
