About this home

Ours is an old 1970's home that has been gradually improved, using many low-cost and DIY upgrades. Because we practice Permaculture thinking, we have retained whatever we can and improved it, rather than replacing, with the exception of upgrading appliances.

As well as now being an all-electric home, we have a large productive garden, and many systems for making and storing our own food, beverages, and cleaning products.

This is not a 'show-home' - rather, it's an older, lived-in and extremely functional home that is comfortable and low-cost to run. It's quite small for the 5 adults who currently live here, but we love it.
